OPEN BID ANNOUNCEMENT – NCB No.WA -015/2026

Construction of (SB + B + G + 9 + Terrace) Apartment Building

WARKA Housing Cooperative invites qualified, reputable and experienced Grade 1 Building or General Contractors to submit sealed bids for the construction of an SB+B+G+9+T apartment building on a 1,577 m² plot in Akaki Kaliti Sub-City, Woreda 7, Addis Ababa.

Scope of work (labour, materials, equipment and supervision):

• Reinforced Concrete frame structure works,
• Hollow Concrete Block (HCB) wall construction,
• Internal and external plastering works,
• Associated Civil construction Works,
• Supply of all required materials, labor, Machinery and Equipment,
• Compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, Ethiopian Building Codes and Standards, and all applicable regulations.

Bidders must:

• Hold a valid Grade 1 Building or General Contractor registration and a trade licence, both renewed for 2018 E.C.
• Provide VAT registration, TIN and tax clearance certificates.
• Show successful completion of similar multi-storey apartment buildings in the last five (5) years, with project value, scope and client references.
• Have qualified technical and managerial personnel, and adequate construction equipment and resources.
• Show strong financial capacity through audited financial statements.
• Have a good track record of quality workmanship and contract performance.

Completion period: 365 calendar days from the date of commencement.

Bidding documents: available at the address below from the date of this announcement until the submission deadline, during working hours, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr).

Submission deadline: Bids must be submitted within fifteen (15) working days from the date of the first publication of this announcement, by 10:00 AM (4:00 local time) on the fifteenth working day. If that day falls on a public holiday, the deadline moves to the next working day at the same time.

Bid opening: the same day at 10:30 AM (4:30 local time), in the presence of bidders who wish to attend.
