Invitation to Bid for External Audit service

Buusaa Gonofaa Microfinance S.C (BG) was founded in 1999 G.C as a nonbank financial institution in accordance with the Ethiopian Microfinance business proclamation No. 626/2009 as amended by Proclamation NO. 1164/2019. BG engages in providing microcredit and saving services to the low income groups including smallholder farmers, microbusiness operators, etc. It is currently operating in Oromia region with a network of 40 branches and serving more than 40, 000 borrowing clients.

BG seeks to recruit and appoint Authorized and certified Public auditor for the audit of its financial statements. The selected audit firm shall be expected to serve for three consecutive financial periods, starting from 2026/27-2028/29. BG prepares its financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and its financial period ends on June 30 of each year.

Eligible audit firms are invited to participate by submitting the following:

• The firm's profile
• Trade license (Renewed for the current year) TIN and VAT registration Certificate
• Certificate of Competence from the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
• List of staff members who will be deployed in the audit and their profiles.
• Evidence of previous experience in providing audit services for financial institutions.
• Separate technical proposal and financial proposal that clearly indicates yearly total audit fees for the three financial years proposed for the audit.
• External Audit team member's independence confirmations as per the National Bank of Ethiopia Directive No MFI/37/2024, declaration form is annexed to the TOR.
• External Audit team member's fit and Proper Declaration as per the National Bank of Ethiopia Directive No MFI/37/2024, declaration form is annexed to the TOR.

Audit firms that meet the requirements are kindly requested to submit in person their technical and financial proposals in separate sealed envelopes to the following address on or before October 20, 2026, 5.00 pm.
