INVITATION TO BID FOR EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICE

Background

Eshet Microfinance Institution was established in the year 2000 in accordance with the proclamation number 40/96 and registered again by the amended proclamation number 626/2009 issued for licensing and supervision of micro financing Institutions in Ethiopia.

The Company has business units in lending and saving activities as well as finance and administration units. It operates in Oromia Region and Addis Ababa City. Currently, Eshet MFI has 16 branches out of which 14 are in Oromia Region and two in Addis Ababa.

Eshet Microfinance Institution S. Co. would like to invite potential public audit firms to enter into an agreement for three (3) years to perform statutory audit service starting from the fiscal year ending 30th June 2027. Thus, interested bidders can purchase a complete set of terms of reference (TOR) for audit engagement upon payment of a non-returnable fee of birr 300.00 (Three hundred birr only) starting from October 05,2026 to October 15, 2026 office working hours from the address mentioned below.

Instruction to Bidders

The Bidders should submit at least the following external audit engagement requirements along with an external audit engagement proposal:

1. Bidders must have a renewed public auditing trade license and registration certificate from the Accounting & Auditing Board of Ethiopia.
2. Provide professional license from the Accounting & Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
3. A copy of clearance letter certificate from AABE.
4. VAT and TIN registration certificate.
5. Tax clearance certificate of the audit firm for 2018 E.C.
6. The firm's organizational profile.
7. Name, qualifications and experience of the audit manager in this specific audit;
8. CV of the audit team members including audit certification, if any;
9. IFRS training certificate of the audit manager and the proposed audit team members.
10. Certificate of good conduct from police for the auditor and all audit team members;
11. Evidence of previous experience in providing audit services in similar organizations.
12. Separate technical and financial proposal that clearly indicates price with VAT.

The deadline for the submission of both the technical and financial proposals in a separately sealed envelope on or before October 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM to the HR and Administration Department located at N/S/Lafto Sub-city, around German Square, Mekeneyasus Building , 3rd floor.

Bid proposals will be opened on October 15, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their representative who wants to attend at N/S/Lafto Sub-city, around German Square, Mekeneyasus Building , 3rd floor

Audit firms shall submit separate and clearly stated audit service fee including VAT and other expenses for the three fiscal years: FY 2026/27, FY 2027/28, and FY 2028/29.

Bids must be in English and include one original and one copy.

Bidder can collect the Term of Reference for the Audit Engagement (TOR) from the address indicated below.
