                   Pumping Stations (2,000m³), Pump Houses, Service reservoir (4000m³) and pipe line works

Bid No. GTWSSS/IDA/ICB /W/1 /2010

1. This invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business Web Site, on August 17, 2007
2. The Government of Ethiopia has received credit & grant  from  IDA  toward the cost of the Urban Water Supply and SanitationProject and it intends to apply part of  the funds to cover eligible payments under the Bid no:GTWSSS/IDA/ICB /W/1 /2010 for procurement of Civil Work Contract.
3. The Gondar Water Supply & Sewerage Services now invites sealed bids fromeligible bidders for Construction of Office and Operator Houses, Guard Houses, Control Rooms, Two Wet Wells at Pumping Stations (2,000m³), Pump Houses, Service reservoir(4000m³) and pipe line works for Gondar town Water Supply& Sanitation Project.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International competitive bidding (ICB) as specified in the World Bank's Procurement guidelines under IDA credits/grants and is open to all eligible bidders from eligible sources countries as defined in the guidelines.

5.    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Gondar Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below in working hours between i.e.: 09:00 and 17:00.

6. Interested bidders may purchase the bidding document from Gondar Water Supply & Sewerage Services, Room No 4, Gondar, up on payment of a nonrefundable fee ETB 400.00 (Four Hundred Birr) from the date of first announcement of this notice.
7. Bids must be delivered to Gondar Water Supply & Sewerage Services, Room No 4, on or before December 24, 2012  10:00 AM.  Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids will be rejected.
8. Bid closing date shall be December 24, 2012 at 10:00AM.
9. Bids shall be opened December 24, 2012 in the presence of bidders or representatives who wish to attend at 10:30 AM in Gondar Water Supply & Sewerage Services, Room No 4, at Gondar Town.
10. Bids shall be valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security of ETB 500,000.00(Five Hundred Thousand Birr) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
