1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business; issue no : WB3045-06/14 of June 10/2014
2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association/IDA/ toward the cost of Geothermal Sector Development Project/GSDP/, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for procurement of DrillingRigs and its accessories and other goods as stated on paragraph 3 below for Ten (10) Wells tender no. ICB/EEP/EGSDP/G-02.
3. The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for procurementof DrillingRigs and its accessories and other goods as stated below for Ten Wells under multiple lots and lots have different items as follow.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, dated January 2011 to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

6. The bidder shall meet the following experience and financial capability;
• To qualify for the award of lots, bidders should have an average annual turnover for the past five years equivalent to 2 times their bid price offered for the lot/s.
• The bidder'smanufacturer has been manufacturing Similar Goods of similar size or greater than the offered sizes with an average annual output of at least twice the amount of the bid.

7. Acomplete set of Bidding Document be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee ETB 1,
8. The bidding document may also be sent by courier to interested applicants upon payment of ETB 1,500.00 or USD 75 for the Ethiopian Electric Power.
9. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 22January, 2016,2:00 p.m. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of thebidders' representatives who choose to attend in person. Bids will beopened at the address below b on 22January, 2016, at 2:30p.m. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security to the amountas indicated below or in its equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
