For The Consultancy service for construction of trial Bridges

The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Road and Transport Bureau has allocated funds granted from the World Bank through the Rural Connectivity for Food Security Program (RCFS) and intends to apply part of this fund towards the cost of Consultancy Services for construction of trial Bridges in Sedal Woreda and Aburam Woreda of Benishangul Gumuz Regional State(BGRS) as shown hereunder.

The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Road and Transport Bureau now invites national eligible consulting Firms to submit sealed expression of Interest (proposal) for the service with:

Their professional certificate and renewed business license valid for the year 2017 E.C

Registered for VAT and listed in the category of registered consultants from the Ministry of Construction:

Temporary registration in Benishangul Gumuz Regional State's Urban & infrastructure Bureau:

Tax Payer Registration and Tax Clearance Certificates.

to submit sealed bids for providing Detailed Engineering Design, Environmental impact assessment, Tender Document preparation works, Construction Supervision & Contract Administration of Consultancy Services for construction of trial Bridges in Sedal and Aburam Woreda of Benishangul Gumuz Regional State.

1. Each prospective bidder proposing to bid for this service project must submit Registration Certificate for the Category of General (or Road) Consulting (Consultants) of grades GC-3, 4 and 5 or RC-3, 4 and 5 only.
2. Acomplete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 600 (six hundred) for each set of document starting from the first appearance of this advertisement on the Ethiopian Herald for,the coming 30 days. The final submission date and closing of the Bid proposals will be on the 31st date of this announcement on the Ethiopian Herald at 4:00 am /Local Time in the Morning/ and it shall be opened the same date at 4:30 am /Local Time in the Morning/ in the premises of Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Road & Transport Bureau. A proposal, which is received late, will be returned unopened to the respective Bidder.
3. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian Birr 30,000 (Thirty Thousand) from legal banks of Ethiopia. The bid security shall be payable on 'demand to the Enterprise, and must be an irrevocable Letter of Credit, or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at the Bidders option except any insurance company guaranties.
4. Sealed bids containing one original and two copies of technical and financial proposal. documents should be submitted separately. The bid along with the bid security must be delivered to the office of Road Connectivity Access Program Room in person or through our post address P.O. Box 126, Assosa, on/before the date and time specified above.
5. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidder's representatives to attend at the office of Road Connectivity Access Program Room If the 31st date of this announcement lies on a weekend or a Holyday, the opening date will be the next working day while the time remains the same.
6. The detailed engineering design works shall be completed within one Calendar months from commencement of works.
7. The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Road and Transport Bureau reserves the right to reject the bid, to waive informalities, to advertise for new bids or to proceed, and do the work otherwise as may be for its best interest.
8. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Road and Transport Bureau from the off of Road Connectivity Access Program Room.
