1. 1.This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issued on. August 17, 2007.

2.The Government of Ethiopia has received a credit (hereinafter called "credit") from the IDA (International Development Association)towards the cost of the Urban Water supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for procurement of 2660m³ and 200m³ Mobile Water Reservoirs and Installation.

3.The Hawassa Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of 2660m³ and 200m³cylinderical Mobile Water Reservoir and associated fittings. Bidders must bid for the supply and installation of Mobile Water Reservoir.

4.Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders fromEligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Hawassa Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below in the working hours from 8:30AM to 12:30 PM& from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30AM to 11:30 AM & from 1:30 PM to5:30 PM on Friday.

6.Qualifications requirements include:Bidder should have the experience on supplying at least two contractsof similar size and nature in the last three years, Average annual turnover for the last three years at least twice the bid price offered. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7.A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased directly from Hawassa water supply and sewerage service Enterprise upon payment of a non refundable fee Birr 250.00 (two hundred fifty) or equivanlent in freely convertible currency by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address indicated below. The methodof payment will be cashier`s Cheque.

8.Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 3:00 pm of 01^st November-2012. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. The bid Validity period shall be 120 days. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representativeswho choose to attend in person at the address below at 3:30 PM on 01^st -November-2012.All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Birr only)or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
