Contract Title: Procurement of Liquid Nitrogen plant and Spare parts

Reference No.  ICB/AGP/CU-004/09

1.         The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Agricultural Growth Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Procurement of Liquid Nitrogen plants and Spare parts including Installation and Training.

1. The Ministry of Livestock and Fishers   now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following goods and related services

1. Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document.  Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
2.    Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits &Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 and Revised July 2014, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Livestock and Fishery, Procurement and Property Administration Directorate, Ato Habib Temam /Ato Woldamalk Bitew, email agriculturalgrowth2015@gmail.com and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM of official working days.

6.         A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of ETB 150.00 or an equivalent amount in freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be in cash/ cashier’s check. Bidders’ who wish to have the bid document delivered to their address by a courier service pay an additional amount of ETB 600.00 or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency for courier service charge or send a prepaid courier service coupon to the purchaser address below. However the purchaser shall not be responsible for a loss or delay in the delivery of the mail and shall not entertain requests for extension on account of such delays. 

7.         Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before June 21, 2017, Time: 10:00 AM. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below June 21, 2017, Time: 10:30 AM.

8.         All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security specified in paragraph 2 above or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
