Assignment: Procurement of Consultancy Services for Preparation of Video, Photo and Written Documentation of Best Practices of Addis Ababa's Early Childhood Development (ECD) Activities

The African Center for Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD), established as a core institutional component of the Children. Addis Ababa has demonstrated notable successes in expanding access to house-to-house parental coaching services, integration of ECD into the healthcare delivery system, pre-primary education, different kinds of daycare centers, playgrounds, and excellent leadership, governance, and financing of the program from government treasury. As other regional states across Ethiopia are embarking on similar ECD expansion efforts, it has become essential to systematically document best practices, scalable innovations, and successful multispectral coordination models emerging from Addis Ababa.

The overall purpose of this assignment is to produce high-quality documentation in both audio-visual and written forms that captures and communicates Addis Ababa's best practices in Early Childhood Development (ECD) focusing on Parental coaching and direct support to more vulnerable households, Daycare services, Playgrounds, Pre-primary education, Integration of ECD into routine healthcare delivery system,

Leadership, governance, and financing of the ECD program in the city.

Therefore, the African Center for Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD) needs a potential consultant to preparation of Photo, Video and Written Documentation.

The expected Deliverables:

1.       One General video documentary (15-20 minutes) and six short thematic videos (3-5 minutes each) from originally recorded footage / In Amharic language with English Subtitle/.

2.       One event/conference promotional video (3-5 minutes) from originally recorded footage. / In Amharic language with English Subtitle/.

3.       Short micro-content video packs, 10 clips (20-30 seconds each) for the center's social media from the same recorded footage resources.

4.       A photo album (minimum 100 high-resolution images) organized by theme with captions and metadata.

5.       A comprehensive written documentation/booklet report on company profile (30-40 pages). The center will provide an initial document (5-10pages) and guidance for the booklet development.

6.       Summiting all raw footages of the recorded videos with returnable external hard drive or any other storage tool for the center's archive.

7.       A final written summary report with a Power Point presentation to be presented to our supporters, National Regional States, and partners on the overall best practice documentation works.

Required Qualifications of the consultants

Eligible firms must demonstrate:

•         Year of Experience in documentary production and/or development communication.

•         Detailed methodology of the services.

•         Certificates of satisfactory execution of contracts successfully completed.

•         Capacity of film production, scriptwriting, editing, and storytelling.

•         Expertise in research-based writing and report production.

•         Availability of multidisciplinary professionals (videographers, editors, writers, graphic designers, translators) with their CVs.

•         Ability to work with child-friendly and ethically sound filming approaches.

•         Experience collaborating with government and development partners.

•         Preferably track record in ECD, education, health, child protection, or development-focused documentation.

Timeline

The assignment is expected to be completed within six months of the contract signing date, subject to the agreement with AFC-ECD

The deadline for submission of EOI document will be:
