 INVITATION TO INTERNATIONAL OPEN BID

The Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union L.L. wants to buy the following coffee laboratory equipment from international manufacturer or suppliers: - 

1. Probat BRZ Sample Coffee Roaster machine,
2. Coffee water activity measuring,
3. Le Nez Du café aroma Kit,
4. Coffee warehouse humidity taster,
5. Ditting Swiss K 804 Lab Grinder and
6. Huller machine with different quantity.

Therefore, Bidders can obtain a complete set of bidding document from the Head office of the Union located in Shager administration city Gelan sub-city, starting from the first date of this notice posted on The Ethiopian Herald newspaper against payment of non-refundable fee of ETH Birr 1,000.00 (one thousand birr) or equivalent deposit to Commercial Bank of Ethiopia account 1000369311747 or Cooperative Bank of Oromia account 1000005951163 and receive deposit slip and/or for foreign bidders Swift code:- CBETETAA account 1000532607907 Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Abiy Branch to Oromia Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative and swift code: - CBORETAA account 1000005951187 Cooperative Bank of Oromia Gelan branch to Oromia Coffee FCU. Bidding will be conducted through the International Open Competitive Bidding Procedure Specified in the Standard bid document and is open to all eligible bidders.

A detail specified criterion is stated in the Standard bid document.

So, the bidders shall present: -

1. Copy of their renewed trade license, renewed registration trade license certificate, tax identification number, valid tax clearance certificate, VAT registration certificate, Audit report of the year, manufacturer or suppliers’ profile and trade registration license certificate from existing country if foreign bidder, manufacturer authorization other related necessary documents.
2. The bidders provide 200,000.00 ETH. Birr or equivalent in foreign currency security in the form of CPO or TT for Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union L.L. from one of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia or Cooperative bank of Oromia by the name of the bidder use the above current account of the OCFCU for foreign bidder mentioned above. Bidders are strictly advised to adhere the terms and conditions set in the standard bid document.
3. Partial offer results bid rejection, incomplete methodology, incomplete profile and CVs, absence of local agent, absence of local and international references and others will be examined strictly.
4. Bidders must provide color photo by 3-D of equipment at list two each from all types of bag during opening date of the tender.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain SBD at the Union Head office at the addressed stated above from 2:00 to 6:00 am and 7:00 to 11:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 2:00 to 5:30 am and 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday 2:00 to 6:00 am local time.
6. The deadline of bid document submission & bid opening Technical and financial offers will be:

• For technical proposal the closing and opening day will be on the 28th working day at 4:00 am & 4:30 am local time respectively from the first date posted on The Ethiopian Herald and late bid shall be rejected. If the 28th day will not be working day, the opening and closing day of the bid will be the next working day with the same time table stated above.

Note that the working day of our union reference to from Monday to Saturday.

• Financial proposal opening date will be after evaluation of earlier submitted or opened technical proposal documents.

7. The bidders shall submit one "Original" and "One Copy" of Technical and Financial documents that shall be produced in such a way that the original one and copy to be wax sealed in one envelope for technical and financial separately. It should also be labeled as 'one original and one copy' and all to be placed in one outer large mother envelope. The bid security must be wax sealed separately marked "Bid security" and must be put in the envelope of the original technical documents. Every envelope should be wax sealed, Signed and stamped by the bidder properly and separately.
8. The bidders should return the original bid document and fill forms on the information required for open tender, stamp, seal, and sign the bid document failure to do so results as non-responsive and rejected automatically.
9. The winner bidder provides 10% performance security bond from the total contract within fifteen (15) days from signing the contract.
10. Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union L.L has the right to reject all or parts of the bid.
